Radars

The Radar engineering team at HL Klemove’s Tech Center India (TCI) is advancing next-generation automotive sensor technology through scalable embedded software and robust validation frameworks. Their work focuses on short-, medium-, and long-range radar platforms that power Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), enabling reliable perception and real-time object tracking in dynamic driving environments.

These radar platforms support Level 2 and Level 3 safety features such as Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Change Assist (LCA), low-speed collision avoidance, and intelligent parking assistance. Designed to be compact yet powerful, the systems integrate seamlessly into vehicle bumpers while delivering split-second decision-making capabilities.

Unlike camera or ultrasonic sensors, radar technology offers consistent all-weather performance, maintaining accuracy in fog, rain, snow, and total darkness. This reliability makes radar a critical building block for safer, more reactive, and increasingly autonomous vehicle platforms.

Cameras

The Camera Software Engineering organization at TCI delivers end-to-end development of camera-based Electronic Control Units (ECUs) for ADAS applications. The team specializes in secure bootloaders, Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) pipelines, and cybersecurity implementations aligned with ISO 21434 standards, ensuring robust and secure vision systems.

By leveraging AUTOSAR-compliant Basic Software (BSW), MCAL development, and integration of perception stacks such as Mobileye, these camera platforms enable precise sensor data acquisition and calibration. The solutions support safe coordination between perception, decision-making, and actuation systems, including steering and braking, across global OEM vehicle platforms.

System maturity is ensured through rigorous validation using industry-standard tools like Vector CANoe, vTESTstudio, and Polyspace. With strong emphasis on functional safety, diagnostics (UDS, DTC), and fail-safe mechanisms, TCI validates firmware updates and flash programming from early prototypes through full-scale series production.
