Building TCI’s Multi‑Product HIL Validation Ecosystem

To support next‑generation automotive development, TCI has engineered a multi‑product HIL validation ecosystem capable of supporting FCM, ADCU, and SRR platforms within a unified architecture. This scalable system integrates real‑time plant models, radar scenarios, communication networks, and power‑stage emulation.

A major engineering challenge addressed during development was real‑time overrun in complex models. Through optimization of ModelDesk plant models, Aurelion scenario configurations, and signal scheduling, the team improved model stability by more than 40%. This ensured deterministic execution, even under high‑load simulations.

The ecosystem supports automated validation across functional and safety domains using AutoPro Tool (Python) for functional automation and VTestStudio + CAPL for precise failsafe automation. With these pipelines, the team achieved 100% failsafe automation and reduced manual testing effort by 60%.

Over 18 HIL setups have been deployed at TCI, enabling early detection of more than 20 critical issues across product lines—significantly accelerating software maturity.
